Final Round of the ACU Drag Racing Championship this Weekend

Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 4:24pm

Top Fuel Bike.

Multi-time and Reigning Champion Steve Woollatt won the last round and has a slim points lead coming into this event, ahead of Al Smith and Neil Midgley is further back, but can still win the championship.  This is closest fight for the championship for a long time.

Funny Bike.

Stuart Crane has a huge points lead and with Phil Crossley working very hard to repair the damaged motor of Tony Clark, who is second in the points and at the time of writing, Crossley does not know if the bike will be at the event.  If Clark misses the event Crane is the champion. Dave Peters will be fighting for second with Mark Smith winner of the last round if Clark does not compete.

Comp Bike.

Louis Davies has dominated Comp Bike this year and retain his championship.  Chris Neary has had a great season recording personal bests at nearly every event in 2021.  Jordan Kenway has improved his performance in the second half of the season and is close to dip into the seven second bracket.  Paul Hambridge has had a few problems this season, so hopefully it all comes go for him at National Finals.

Super Street Bike.

Alan Morrison Jr has a mathematical chance of stopping Steve Venables winning another ACU Championship, if Venables has any problems.  Previous round winner Jake Mechaell will be hoping for more success this weekend. Former Champion Garry Bowe and Stephen Mead are also capable of causing an upset.
