Waltham Chase MCC Charity Trial - Saturday 10th November

Monday November 5, 2018 at 2:58pm
Waltham Chase MCC are holding an “Charity Easy Trial” on Saturday 10th November, in aid of the Hamwic Chemotherapy Ward at Southampton hospital. This ward is where most patients receive their chemotherapy and has been specially designed to accommodate chemotherapy patients, who travel large distances to be treated at this regional centre. The ward is always in the need of donations to buy extras to make the patients stay more comfortable.

Last year the Ballard family raised almost £1000 from this event for the Gynaecological Cancer Fund and this year they have chosen Southampton Hospital which is close to us at Hut Hill.

Let’s see what we can raise this year!

There will be 3 laps of ten sections for you to ride, or you can come along and ride unclassified for practice.  There are no points or awards to be won at this event – the only winner we want is the Charity.

The entry fee £15.00 for adults and £8.00 for youth riders. Gates are open from 10.30 for a 12.00 start and will be closed at 3.30.  It gets dark early!

One day Club Membership and ACU licence are available.

There will be a small raffle with all proceeds being donated to the fund. Any donations of prizes appreciated.

There will be tea, coffee, homemade cakes and sausage rolls available with all proceeds being donated to the Charity. As always, your support will be greatly appreciated.

Ian Ballard is your Clerk of the Course for the day
