FIRST NATIONAL WIN FOR OSET 24.0
Kent youngster, Sophie Bailey, 10 rode the prototype OSET 24.0 to secure a first national win for the medium-wheeled electric machine at the ladies ACU national at Victory Moto Park in Warwickshire.

A cool and calm ride, Sophie enjoyed a clean second lap and dropped just 9 marks over the entire course.

Darren Bailey, Sophie’s dad and minder, said: “There were a few really tricky sections that the OSET handled beautifully. She remained focused throughout the trial and I’m very proud and delighted for her.”

Sophie has three priorities for 2015 - to continue riding the ladies and girls C-Class Nationals, complete the Southern Series OSET Cup organised by Kent Youth Trials Club and enjoy riding as part of the OSET demo team at high profile events including MotoGP.

Ian Smith, founder and CEO of OSET Bikes, said: “We’ve known Sophie for a number of years and she is a great rider with a great attitude and we’re delighted for her. With my manufacturer’s hat on, this is the first national win for an electric bike in this class anywhere in the world – it’s a major achievement and significant step for OSET.

“The prototype OSET 24.0 is performing exceptionally well. Every time they’ve been ridden at national level they’ve finished on the podium! Results suggest it has the pedigree to make a difference in the market and here at OSET HQ we’re really excited about what the future holds.”

Riding since the age of just four, Sophie has alternated between petrol and OSET, including a geared machine. It’s great news for OSET that the talented youngster finds her electric bike fun, light and much more manoeuvrable – something she clearly demonstrated from the number 1 spot this weekend.
