Dabill & Brown Battle It Out Again
The British Trials Championship resumed last weekend with the Mackenzie round organised by the Yeadon Guisley Club at Addingham Moorside.

This series, sponsored by the RT Keedwell Group looks as if it is going to be a straight fight between James Dabill and Michael Brown once again. James took the latest win by two marks from Michael to give him a small lead in the Championship. Brown actually started the better, cleaning lap 1 and only dropping a single dab on his middle circuit. It all went wrong for the current British number 1 however when he took a '5' at section five on lap three. Dabill cleaned all 12 sections to take a narrow win.

Gas Gas teamster Alexz Wigg continued his run of form this year with another solid third place finish from Jack Sheppard who is also going well this season. Alexz did not have the best of starts and left himself too much to do after a disaster of an opening  few subs but he soon found his rhythm and he is currently running third in the series. Andy Chilton from the Roundhouse team had his best ever result with a fifth place finish.

In the Expert Class Guy Kendrew made it three wins out of three to take a very solid lead in the group. His main rivals however fared less well with James Stones and Joel Edwards for once not featuring so well. Tom Affleck, after two moderate rides for him, came back with a fine second place to Guy. John Sunter took his four stroke Montesa to a superb third spot.

The series resumes on August 17th at the Scottish round at the Bob Macgregor Trials Academy at Dunlop East Ayrshire.
