OSET CUP GOES FORTH AND MULTIPLIES
This weekend saw the fourth round of the Trials UK, Horsforth DMC OSET Cup at Greenhow, with a staggering 32 riders – the highest number of entries to date!

As part of the Horsforth DMC beginners series, the youngsters rode three laps of four sections before taking a break to complete the adjusted sections backwards as they competed to be in with a chance of winning a trophy sponsored by Neil Motorsport. Every round has attracted trophy sponsorship and Neil Taylor from Neil Motorsport, said: “We are delighted that we can help kids feel a real sense of achievement through winning trophies and we’re only too pleased to be able to support such a great championship.”

Nige Pearson from Trials UK who plotted easy, intermediate and hard routes across the four sections, said: “The OSET Cup continues to go from strength to strength as youngsters from across the UK come and ride with us! We welcomed riders from as far afield as Wales and Cumbria today and demand and participation in OSET events is growing all the time. The World Round at Nord Vue proved beyond the doubt the popularity of these machines for E-Class, D-Class and now with the introduction of the new 20.0” OSET bike, also C-Class riders.

“The benefit of being able to ride undisturbed from your own back garden to your local woods, combined with being great bikes for confidence building and technique development cannot be underestimated. My own daughter rides an OSET and I believe they are the ideal bike for primary-age children.”

With Dominic Dynamo Horne, Lewis ‘Hurdigas’ and Harry Hemo Hemingway taking the battle to lift the E-Class hard route trophy down to the wire, the fourth round made the title battle even closer! Harry took the win from Lewis, while Dominic achieved third place.

D-Class hard route was won by Henry Stephenson on his 20.0” OSET – the crowd were particularly impressed by a dare devil, Evil Keneaval style jump into a big bomb hole which saw the dads retrieving the bike from a bowl of nettles – nice work Henry! Harry McLoughlin and Ryan Shepherd finished second and third respectively.

Charlie Crossland capped off a fantastic weekend’s riding to take first in the E-Class intermediate route. Jak Heaney, super styled and wheelied his way round the course, pushing Charlie all the way to take second, while Morgan Shepherd matched his big brother in the trophy stakes to take third back to Preston.

Owen Barnes continued his run of form to take another victory for the D-Class intermediate. A rapidly improving Bailey Pedder came in second and third went to a delighted Kyle Miller who, after an impressive ride at Nord Vue, upgraded his bike to a 36v OSET and at his first event out on his new bike came in third!

Keeping up the family tradition, E-Class easy route was won by Harry Hemmingway’s little brother, George. Conrad Andrew came in second and was delighted to be taking home a trophy while Flynn Collings has moved forward significantly and his feet-up ride saw him take third.

Rider of the Day was awarded by the observers to little Ryan Proctor on his 12.5” OSET.

Barry Huskinson from OSET Bikes, said; “Seeing so many riders having fun and really learning how to ride and control their bikes is phenomenal. We’re delighted that so many families enjoy the events and are very much looking forward to seeing who raises the final trophies at Tong in September.”

The final round of the Trials UK OSET Cup will take place over a weekend of 15th and 16th September at Tong, Bradford. There will be two days of trials, training, fun and camping before the championship trophies are presented to the winners.
