One month to go and Littondale becomes Allan Jefferies Trophy Trial country for a day. A summer’s day, One glorious lap of Littondale and Wharfedale stretching right to the top of Coverdale by way of the one in three gradient of Park Rash.
The trial route will take in forty two sections. The trial takes in Fountains Fell, Litton Track, Arncliffe Scree , Hawkswick and slippery Sleats before turning north to Kettlewell. Wilkinson’s famed garage is still there, but under new ownership. The serious business follows at Leisters and forbidding Diamond Pastures. After a second petrol hall the return run heads for Yockenthwaite then over the Moors to Wilks Pastures and a finale up Halton Gill Waterfall where Dan Thorpe dabbed and Ian Austermuhle cleaned to victory lap year.
Last year one hundred and fourteen started from Halton Gill where the Halton Gill Ladies catered for the masses, from start to finish.
