The following organisers have contacted the ACU to notify us that the Regulations and Entries are now open for their events.

Already the South Birmingham Motor Club have their stall set out for a fine double header Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Sidecar Championship. John Wells has the regulations out now and they can be accessed via www.motorcyclingclubggb.com. The date is Saturday March 31 and Sunday April 1 so don’t be an April Fool and miss the closing date of Saturday March 24. The entry figures are 40 sidecars and 25 Midland Centre solos who will be running on the Sunday only. Headquarters as usual are The Royal Oak Inn at Clee Hill, on the Ludlow to Cleobury Mortimer Road in the fine county of Shropshire. Start time will be 11.00 am on both days. The contact email address is johnwells.sbmc@virgin.net

A week after the South Birmingham Sidecar weekend Yeadon-Guiseley stage the Fourth round of the S3 Parts A.C.U. National Championship centred on Dob Park, Otley. Margaret Carter is the lady at the helm at the Chris Carter Trophy Trial while her son Andrew, aided by Danny Cockshott, will be marking a forty section road based course. There will be a refuelling stop involved so a can is essential. The trial will run on Sunday April 8 and carries a closing date of Friday March 30. No late, telephoned or email entries will be considered. Time schedule is six hours with the first rider away at 9.31 am. Refreshments and toilets will be in parc ferme.

Hot on the heels of the release of regulations for the Chris Carter S3 Parts solo and the D.K. Mansell Sidecar Double header is news from the West Country. Otter Vale’s top official Colin Somers has got the regulations out for the opening round of the A.C.U. Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Class A and B Youth Championship on March 18. Many parents will know just where the excellent Wolversleigh Farm is at Sidbury but for those who do not a Sat Nav input of EX10 0QH should do the trick. Rod Broom is again the man that will lay out the sections. He has twenty in mind and two laps with all the right ingredients of streams, gullies and mud, plus climbs. Starting time will be 10.00am. Regulation should be in T+M.X. News columns next week. Colin Somers has also attached a comprehensive list of hotels and bed and breakfast locations to the regulations. Entries will close before Sunday-March 10. The Otter Vale M.C.C. website is www.ottervalemcc.org.uk
