Section severity:

• It is intended that there will be a considerable reduction in the section severity of the Championship route with the Clerk of Course taking particular note that sections are to be ridden No-Stop.

It is envisaged that the severity of the majority of Championship sections be approximately similar to that of the Expert A route of previous years.

It is envisaged that the section severity of the majority of Expert sections be approximately that of the Expert B route of previous years.

• Riders intending to contest the Championship class will be invited to register with the ACU immediately. Youth riders will also need to register.

Trial Format:

Organisers will have the option of marking either 3 laps of 15 sections or 3 laps of 12 sections.

• Riders in the Championship class will have the option of registering an “assistant” who could accompany them ON FOOT and carry tools and refreshments etc. The assistant would only be allowed within the boundaries of a section if invited to do so by the Observer. These sections would have been previously identified by the Clerk of Course, who may decide to allow this option on the grounds of safety. It is envisaged this option would be the exception rather than the rule in the 2012 events.

• The Practice session, the day before the event, will be retained however the duration will be increased to 3hrs to accommodate the envisaged increase in the number of Entries.
