The Road Race Drag and Sprint Committee have announced the following changes to the Road Race Licence age and machine restrictions effective from 1st January 2012.
12 years Novice, Clubman or National Licence holder up to 250cc single cylinder 4 stroke Production machines.
13 years Novice, Clubman Licence holder up to 250cc single or twin cylinder 4 stroke Production machines.
13 years National Licence holder up to 250cc single or twin cylinder 4 stroke Production based machines.
Dr Paul King, Chairman of the Road Race Drag and Sprint Committee, said that “my Committee are keen to promote younger riders into the sport, riding machines with more sensible running costs and performance.”
