The Auto 66 Club are pleased to announce their calendar of events for 2012 at Oliver’s Mount with the Barry Sheene and the Cock o’the North events having been moved to hopefully attract more competitors.
For a number of years, the Auto 66 Club have been looking for something new to bring Bike Week back without causing problems for local residents by having additional road closures on Oliver’s Mount.
The first weekend 16th / 17th June will see the Bike Week Festival of Music adjacent to the Bikers Village and see the Vintage Motor Cycle Club commence their week of activities that weekend at Oliver’s Mount with road runs organised every day for their members.
The first competitive event will be Tuesday 19th June with the Bike Speed Hill Climb at Dalby Forest. On Wednesday 20th June the action will return to Oliver’s Mount for the Hill climb, followed on Thursday 21st by the Sprint and the Stunt Show.
Rounding off the week on Saturday 23rd will be the Classic Rally and Festival of 1000 Bikes adjacent to the Bikers Village and Sunday 24th June will see the Barry Sheene Race Festival.
The Cock o’the North Continental Road Races will be on 21st and 22nd July with two days of road racing plus the bar and entertainment on the Friday and Saturday night in the Bikers Village.
A number of contracts are already in place with riders for the September Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup meeting which looks like being even bigger than 2011.
