The ACU Road Race Committee is pleased to announce that with immediate effect there will be no charge for the issue of the Red Hi-Viz vests for Newcomers to Road Racing. Vests will now be issued free of charge, on request with the first licence application. Previously there was a charge of £7.00 for the vest.

This is the first of a series of cost cutting initiatives that the Road Race Committee has recently approved in the hope of encouraging more Newcomers to take up the sport.

Dr Paul King, Chairman Road Race Drag and Sprint Committee, said that “this is part of a new initiative by my Committee to reduce the cost of going Road Racing, other initiatives will follow when the details have been finalised”.
