Strong Results to end FIM World Trials Season

After heavy rain in the lead up to the FIM Spea World Trials Championship round in France and during the event. France was to be the final round of the year for the FIM World Trials Championship and again it was Toni Bou who took the win, but Top British Trials riders all performed well across the two days of riding.
James Dabill on his Beta and Michael Brown on the Gas Gas finished fifth and sixth respectively in the second day of competition. This allowed Brown to claim to sixth spot in the final standings with fellow British riders James Dabill taking eighth Place in the final Championship standings. Seventh position in France went to Jack Challoner on the Beta, who finished his debut season in the main championship in ninth place.
In the Junior class it was Jonathan Richardson on the Sherco machine who recorded not only his first podium position of the season, but also his first victory ahead Alexandre Ferrer. Richardson’s fine result on the last day of the championship, helped to boost his championship standings and finish in seventh place overall.
The Youth Championship had also already been decided with Jack Sheppard taking the Youth title with a round to spare. Due to injury Sheppard settled for spectating at the final weekend of competition in the 2011 championship whilst his fellow contenders fought to climb the championship table.
