Double Podium Success in Italy
This weekend both the Men’s and Women’s Trials Des Nations teams headed to Tolmezzo in Italy, the event was run under mixed weather conditions, which left the course in very slippery and tricky for all of the riders competing.

For the second year running it was the Spanish Women’s team that took the top honours of the FIM Trials des Nations. The British team started the event in fine form after leading the opening laps, ahead of the Spanish. The Spanish team recovered to overcome the British team of Emma Bristow, Rebekah Cook and Hannah Styles for the win. Second overall in the event was another great result for the British team as Spain and Great Britain completely outclassed the rest of the field. Third place in the event went to the Germany team.

While in the Men’s event Spain again took the win for the eighth time in a row and Great Britain who were the best of the rest, and whilst Michael Brown, James Dabill, Jack Challoner and Dougie Lampkin put up a brave fight in almost British like conditions they simply had no answer to the mighty Spanish quartet. Spain's winning margin of seventy-nine marks after two laps of eighteen slippery sections confirmed the difference between the two teams on the day. Italy can home to finish the event in third place.

The 2012 FIM Trial des Nations will be hosted in Moutier, Switzerland.
