In hot dry condition 18 year old Tom Perry retained his Under 21 British Grass Track Championship run by the Ledbury MCC on Sunday. On a fast circuit Tom was challenged hard by Charlie Saunders and Georgie Wood, but always seemed to be in control. Georgie Wood did well having little practice due to late arrival following a break down on the way to the track.
Once again the 1000cc sidecars provided great racing with Masters Champions Rod Winterburn/Liam Brown being pushed hard by Mark Cossar/Carl Blythe and Neil Owen/Wayne Richards. Outfits were several times three abreast on the last bend.
The Upright class demonstrated why they should have their own championship in 2012.
John Priest won from Graeme Brown and Chris Malone by just one point. These two could only be separated by the Tie Break rule.
The modern support classes were equally close with wins for Ben Isley in the 250cc, Martin Williams in the 350cc and Tim Nobes in the 500cc. ome great racing in the 100cc sidecar class.
