This week Future West Promotions are happy to make two announcements about the 2011/12 Supercross Series. The first announcement is that they have made some much anticipated rider registration price reductions and changes to the pro class structure of the Future West ACU British Supercross Championships.
As an effort to assist riders in the
present economic climate the series fees for all classes has been waived by Future West. In addition there is now an option for an extra saving when registering by foregoing the extra mechanic wristband for families who have multiple children competing or adult competitors travelling in a group or alone.
British Supercross and British Supercross Lights will now be the premiere classes at each of the five events slated for the 2011/2012 season making the series truly British. The British Supercross class will allow 2strokes from 125cc – 500cc and 4strokes from 250cc – 450cc while the British Supercross Lights will allow 2strokes 100cc – 145cc and 4strokes from 175cc – 250cc.
By moving to two British Championship Pro classes Future West will use the purse from the third pro class for a new series purse which will add up to over £12,500 in series end money. In total £40,000 will be up for grabs for the entire series. Points from both classes will be tallied to determine series payout.
Regs for the 2011/2012 Future West ACU British Supercross Championship will be available from the ACU on Wednesday July 13th. For more information on the series please visit www.fwsx.com
The second announcement is Future West can now confirm round three of the five round Future West ACU British Supercross Championship will be held at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday November 26th.
Once the bustling birthplace of many of the world’s great ships, the Clyde waterfront in Braehead has been transformed into a new modern entertainment and shopping centre including an ultra-modern Xscape indoor ski facility. The 4000 seat arena which sits at the heart of the shopping center also features free parking which is a big bonus for fans of British Supercross.
The 2011/2012 series is now set and will also visit the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on October 22nd for Round 1 with Belfast’s Odyssey Arena slated for the week before Glasgow on November 19th. London’s Wembley Arena will replace The O2 Arena (2012 only) on January 14th with the series reaching it’s finale at Birmingham’s ultra modern LG Arena on February 11th.
