On Saturday the first of the Sidecar Grass Track European Championship Semi Finals took place at Bielefld. The event was the first of the Semi Finals for the 2011 Grass Track European Championship as all the pairings look to secure a place in the Final later in the year on the 4th September at Noordworlde in Holland.
With three British pairing all looking for a direct qualifying spot for the final, it was to be Nick Radley and Jonathan Cook that finished the night in third place. The third place has given Nick Radley and Jonathan Cook directly transfers to the final in September. Also Scott Dunn and Paul Smith rode well to finish in seventh place and secure themselves a place at the Final as reserves.
This weekend (11th & 12th June) the second European Semi Final event will be taking place at Loppersum in Holland. British interest is focused on Shaun Harvey and Danny Hogg and also Joshua Goodwin and his German Passenger.
