Europe's biggest, and most family friendly, street party will be held over the weekend 7th /8th May in the pretty market town of Northwich, Cheshire.
As in previous years, the Thundersprint offers completely free admission for spectators together with free parking and free grandstand seating.
But the Thundersprint is far more than just a festival for bike fans. Away from the track is a mile of trade stands; a spectacular fun fair; huge inflatable play area for little ones; bands; street entertainment; fine food and an aerobatic display by an RAF Spitfire. In fact, something to keep everyone in the family happy all day.
Disabled and less sprightly customers are particularly well catered for and well-behaved pets are welcome too.
Saturday 7th May will see the Thundersprint Bike Show right in the centre of Northwich town next to Northwich Memorial Hall. There will be classic and modern bikes on display, test rides, a huge trade area and bike safety information.
There will be non-stop appearances by star riders throughout the weekend including World Supersport Champion Cal Crutchlow, BBC TV’s Steve Parrish and Matt Roberts, six times World Champion Jim Redman, British Superbike star Chris Walker and 125 World Championship star Danny Webb.
There will be plenty of celebs too with Danny John Jules ('Cat' from Red Dwarf) already signed up and more stars arriving every day.
The Thundersprint itself takes over Northwich on Sunday May 8th with all the stars in action round the tight town centre sprint track. There is a fantastic international entry of modern and classic riders including French star Alain Marie with his ex-works BMW, German ace Joerg Trautvetter and Swiss classic motorcycling icon Jean Claude Castella.
Lunchtime sees a giant cavalcade around the town centre followed by a Spitfire aerobatic display.
A feature of the Thundersprint is outstandingly good food at reasonable prices and free street entertainment.
Spectator admission is completely free of charge and parking, in Cheshire West Council controlled car parks, is free of charge. Grandstand seating is also free of charge.
Excellent camping, with showers, toilet facilities and on site food, is available for the whole weekend at £30 per pitch, regardless of the number of people in the tent, or for Saturday evening only at £20
