Springspeed National Drag Races - May 14th/15th 2011
The Springspeed National drag races held at Stratford-Upon-Avon’s Shakespeare County Raceway will see the second round of the ACU Drag Bike Championships rocketing down the quarter mile drag strip at breathtaking speeds.
Following the traditional season opener at Easter, the organising club Avon Park International Racing Association is expecting a bumper entry in all 5 classes from the nitro burners in Top Fuel to the 190 mph seven second world of Super Street. There ill also be action from the ET brackets of newly established national 8.50 and 9.50 Bike categories as well as the Supertwins and Junior Drag Bike.
The two day meet also features a variety of car classes from the 200 mph Super Modified’s and the Super Pro ET Dragsters down to the VW classes and nostalgia dragsters from the Wild Bunch.
Shakespeare County Raceway is situated 6 miles south of the historic town of Stratford with free grandstands, pit access, parking and weekend camping.
