Riders in the Eastern Centre come together to support Jack Sheppard
Recently the Norfolk and Suffolk Group Trails clubs held a charity Trial in aid of helping Local rising Trials riders Jack Sheppard as he continues to progress within the sport. The event took on the 20th February at Paper Mill Lane in Bramford, Suffolk.
Following on from Jack Sheppard superb success in the 2010 season where he secured 2nd place in the World Youth Championship at his 1st attempt. Also during the 2010 season Jack finished in the runner up position in both the European and British Youth Championship. Although Jack has been rewarded for his strong results and continued improvements with the supply of Factory Bikes direct from the Beta Factory for the 2011 season. Even with the Factory backing for the 2011 season, Jack will still need to fund his own travel and expenses for the season, which will see him making trips to places such as Japan and covering the vast majority of Europe.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Group Trial club felt that it would be a good idea to host a Trials meeting help raise funds for Jack’s assault of World Youth Championship glory. The event was a huge success with nearly a hundred riders turning up to compete at the Paper Mill Lane Course. The event was run over 36 sections with all riders having a good, competitive ride for a good cause.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Group Trial club would like to thank, David Cordle and Ipswich MCC, Essex and Suffolk Border, Ron Greengrass, Jack and Vera Hearn, Colin Armes. The Eastern Centre for waving their fee's for this event, everyone who donated money, the land owners, Smiths Catering and also everyone who helped set up, all the observers, and you the riders for supporting this event and raising as much as possible to help Jack
