Opening round of ACU British Trials Championship set to take place on 5/6th March
The opening round of the 2011 ACU Events-British Trials Championship, supported by TRC Trucks and Michelin will take place on the 5th and 6th March at Westwood near Tankersley, Barnsley. The event is a chance to watch the Best of British Trials battling it out on a specially designed course which has been created by Graham Jarvis. The event will consist of 3 laps that will feature 12 sections per lap.
The 12 spectator friendly sections are all located within 1.5 kilometres of each other. In the last year the Westwood location has seen a complete transformation with rocks and logs being brought into the area to help build the sections. Graham Jarvis has built some very remarkable sections which will test the skills of the best riders to their limits.
With the event being the 1st round of the 2011 series the Promoting Dirtbike Action have worked extremely hard to make the event as high profile as possible with a trade village, TV coverage and good car parking, all of this wouldn’t have been possible without the strong support of companies within the industry.
The trail will begin at 10am on the Sunday 6th March with the practice taking place on the day prior between 3pm and 5pm. Riders and spectators planning to attend the event are advised that the event will be taking place at Westwood Near Tankersley, Barnsley in Yorkshire and the event will be signposted from junction 36 of the M1.
