For 2011 changes have been made to the requirements for riders who want to upgrade their Clubman Road Race Licence to National. The two tier signature system (satisfactory “S” and upgrade “U”) that was introduced in 2010 has been replaced.
Riders who have obtained 10 signatures for race finishes at 10 separate race days held at a minimum of 3 different race circuits during the current season and previous 2 seasons can apply to upgrade their licence if they wish to do so, riders are not obliged to upgrade. Riders who collected “U” upgrade signatures during 2010 will be credited with two signatures for each result.
There is no change to the requirements for Riders who are newcomers to the sport. They continue to be required to obtain 10 signatures for race finishes from 10 separate race days held at a minimum of three different race circuits. Riders should retain their record card as proof of having acquired the signatures and there is no time limit for obtaining these signatures.
