Club MSV confirm ACU licence testing ability
Riders can now obtain a Road Race Licence at MotorSport Vision circuits
From the end of November 2010, Club MSV - the in-house trackday arm of MotorSport Vision - will be offering any rider the opportunity to become a motorbike racer with an official ACU Licence test at any of MSV’s five race circuits. The test is designed to ensure that riders understand the basic safety and organisational requirements for participating in bike racing.
Those with a full, current DVLA road licence can now simply add the test to their trackday order on selected dates for just £99 (or £150 if booked independently of a trackday).
“We’re really excited to be working with the ACU on this new initiative.” says Club MSV Manager, Alex Baker. “Many of our trackday customers ask where they can go once they feel accomplished with trackdays so it’s great that we can now offer them a chance to take their riding to the next level as well as introduce new riders into the sport.”
Club MSV will also soon be offering dates for ACU Courses where riders without road going licences will be able to obtain a Road Race Licence with signature, making them eligible to take part in trackdays and bike testing days without having to take a DVLA licence test. Details of these courses are available on the ACU Licence Test page of the Club MSV website and dates will be available in the coming weeks.
All riders participating in any of the ACU Licence tests or courses will leave Club MSV with the ability to obtain a full ACU Road Race licence with an initial signature from the ACU after the compulsory eye test.
