ONE of the most prestigious grass track meetings in Europe - the 500cc Solo Final - will be held in the UK in 2011 as part of the famous Lincolnshire Poacher event. The second meeting of the National Council was held at ACU House on Saturday 20th November. Delegates from each Centre and the Non-Territorial Board elected David Smith (Eastern Centre) and Bryan Puckett (West South Wales Centre) to the Board of Directors. Mr Smith is elected for a period of two years until the end of 2012 and Mr Puckett for three years until December 2013.
At the recent FIM and UEM congress meetings two ACU officials were promoted to the top jobs in their respective diciplines.
Dave Willoughby has become Commision Director ( Formerly president) of the World Trials Commision. Dave is also the vice chairman of the ACU Trials and Enduro committee. The term of office approved by the FIM at the recent Macau congress for Dave will be to 2014.
