SPEA FIM Trial World Championship returns to Scotland again in 2011 Following on from the huge success of the inaugural event held at Nevis Range, Fort William - Scotland earlier this year, L+M Events are delighted to announce that the British leg of the 2011 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship will take place at the same fantastic venue on 30/31 July. Vito Ippolito re-elected FIM President  A historical number of 98 Federations out of 101 attended the FIM General Assembly on Tuesday 19 October at the occasion of the 125th FIM Congress held at the Venetian Hotel in Macau, China. The members of the FIM General Assembly elected Mr Vito Ippolito (Venezuela) FIM President for a second term by 55 votes versus 41 votes cast for his opponent, Mr Jean-Pierre Mougin. Rochdale and District Motor Club's Pennine Trial on 21st of November 10.30 am. is the last north west centre event of the year. The Shawforth venue has a good long lap out on the foothills of the Pennines above Rochdale with spectacular views. Come and join us for a friendly days sport. Next year the Cornwall Centre of the Auto Cycle Union will hold the 50th running of the End to End Reliability Road Trial.

It will start at Bude and end at Lands End and will run as it always has, on Passion Sunday - 14 days before Easter.
Entry will be open just after Christmas and close two weeks before the start.

Scott Trial 2010

The 2010 Scott Trial takes place on October 23rd at Swaledale in Yorkshire supported by Trials Central.com .

Graham Jarvis goes for ten wins in the event and another hatrick to add to his previous runs of 1996 to 1999, 2003 to 2005 will it be 2008 to 2010.

The trial is a time and observation event run over an off road course of approximately 84 miles, divided into approx 75 sections. The riders lose marks for “footing” in the observed sections and for finishing behind the fastest rider who sets standard time. Marks used to be lost at the rate of 1 mark per minute but this has been relaxed to 1 mark every 2 minutes....................

In just over seven months time the attention of the global trials community will focus on the small loch side town of Fort William that sits beautifully in the Scottish Highlands. For six very special days between Monday 2nd May and Saturday 7th May 2011 just under three hundred riders from around the planet will descend on Fort William as the World famous Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) celebrates its centenary. This moment in the history of the sport of motorcycle trials cannot be under estimated, with this event being widely regarded as the birthplace of this unique discipline where the winner is determined by skill alone rather than speed.......................
