Vito Ippolito re-elected FIM President  A historical number of 98 Federations out of 101 attended the FIM General Assembly on Tuesday 19 October at the occasion of the 125th FIM Congress held at the Venetian Hotel in Macau, China. The members of the FIM General Assembly elected Mr Vito Ippolito (Venezuela) FIM President for a second term by 55 votes versus 41 votes cast for his opponent, Mr Jean-Pierre Mougin. As the season winds down a couple of clubs finish their championship dates for 2010 on Sunday October 17th.

Worcestershire Grasstrack Club’s final meeting of 2010 it’s all systems go to make the Buildbase Championships one to remember!

The weekend of October 9/10th will see several events taking place including. The 80th aniversary of the Southern Centre grass Track championships 1930 to 2010, the event includes Solo, sidecar and youth competition. Organised by the Moonfleet Grasstrack racing Club at Pymore Nr Bridport Dorset signed off the A35 and A3066. On Sunday the 10th Maidstone Aces are running the South East championships at Collier Street Yalding and also include the 1000cc Left hand sidecar British Championship from....
Final Round of the British Short Track Championship

The Pozzani Silkolene Shorttrack UK Championship concludes at Scunthorpe this weekend the 9th October with re scheduled round eight rained off last weekend. The Shorttrack class entry is full, including the new champ Aidan Collins, 3 times Champ Marco Belli, 2009 Champ Pete Boast, Speedway Star Eddy Kennett, Tom Woolley, Glyn Pocklington and many more. Due to heavy rain, ASTRA GTC have unfortunately had to cancel the British Left Hand Sidecar Championship which also incorporated the North V South Championship being held this weekend. The ACU is pleased to annouce that the Maidstone Aces MCC will take over the running of the Left Hand Championship at its scheduled meeting on the 10th October at Collier Street, Kent. The Track Racing Committee would like to thank the club and its members for their assistance.

The Track Racing Sidecar Championship round at Plymouth has also become a victim to the weather and has been cancelled after the track became waterlogged.
