British Superbike Chat Night

Once again the North Yorkshire Road Racing Supporters Club will be staging its annual BSB Chat Show.
This year, for the first time the Club are running the Chat Night on a Friday night in the hope that this will appeal to the fans who will already be at Croft for the British Superbike weekend.

The Manx Motorcycle Club, organisers of the Manx Grand Prix, regret to announce the death of a second rider at today’s Manx Grand Prix. Both riders were involved in a racing accident at Alpine Cottage on the second lap of the Junior race shortly before 11am. The race was later abandoned.
Chris Bradshaw, 39, a Traffic Police Officer from Tamworth in Birmingham was taken to Noble's Hospital by airmed, but was declared dead at the hospital. Chris first competed on the Isle of Man in 2004 and finished 37th in last year’s Senior MGP race.
Jamie Adam, 28, a serving officer in the Royal Navy, from Prestwick in Scotland who was also involved in the incident was attended to by the air med team, but was declared dead at the scene. Jamie first competed on the Isle of Man in 2009, finishing 9th in the Newcomers race and 27th in the Senior MGP.
The next of kin of both families have been informed. The Manx Motorcycle club extends their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of both men.
The incident is now being investigated by the Isle of Man Constabulary who are preparing a report for the Coroner of Inquests.

Sawford takes control of title race after Oulton thriller
Having taken 4 wins from the last 5 rounds, Bedfordshire’s Andrew Sawford arrived at Oulton Park for round 12 of the 2010 250GP ACU National Championship & NG Cup as the man to beat. Lincolnshire’s Ant Hodson has led the way for most of the season having posted podium finishes in all but one of the previous rounds. The pressure bit Hodson at Anglesey last time out where a crash posted his first DNF allowing the St Neot’s Motorcycles TZ of Sawford to really close in.
Although the clouds were threatening, qualifying was dry, which saw the usual suspects mixing it at the top of the list. True to form, Sawford posted his pole time with his final lap dropping Somerset’s Alex Kenchington into 2nd. Championship leader Hodson was 3rd and Rich Grinling placed his RG Carpentry RS Honda in 4th. The teenage sensation Scott Pitchers placed his Honda in 10th place, and NG Cup Championship leader Adrian Martin was the quickest of the Cup series contenders in 15th...................
