The seventh round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship tales place at Silverstone this coming Sunday August 29th.
With Evgeny Bobreshev (CAS Honda) (picture 777) and Zach Osborne (Bike It Cosworth Yamaha) now having established leads in the MX1 and MX2 classes, it is possible, although unlikely, that one or both of them could be crowned champion at Silverstone.
With the news filtering through that current MX1 leader Evgeny Bobreshev may be out for a few weeks with a punctured lung, Buildbase CCM rider Stephen Sword has a golden opportunity to close the gap - or even take the lead.
One thing for sure, the MXY2 (Youth) Champion will emerge, as the Silverstone event heralds the final round of four for our talented Youth riders and unless something dramatic happens (and it can), it should be the new LPE Kawasaki signing, Connor Walkley who stands on the top of the podium with a British Crown around his neck.......

Its that time of year again. August Bank Holiday. Many meanings to many people. To some it’s the last weekend before Winter. To others it’s the last chance to do something with the Kids before the new School Year.
To the Folks in The Langrish Motor Cycle Racing Club it means “Ken Hall Time”. A time when the steep hills and valleys of the normally quiet Manor Farm at Langrish, are turned into the most spectacular Motocross Track in the U.K.
Home of The “Ken Hall Trophy” Motocross for the last 44 years. Probably the oldest continuously run motocross in the World. The members of The Langrish Club have once again put together a fantastic two day programme of Classic and Modern Solo and Sidecar racing.......

Round six of the ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship, which will take place at the famous Farleigh Castle circuit next Sunday (15th August) has attracted all the top names in the Start List produced by ACU Events yesterday. In what may be his last event in the championship, Aprilia's Josh Coppins will be anxious to continue his recent run of good form on a circuit which will be new to him - as it will with many of the other top contenders.
The event also includes the first round of the 2010 Veterans Championship, where current champion, Rob Herring will face old rivals which include Greg Hanson and Brian Wheeler. The circuit will be very similar to the famous Farleigh Castle of the late eighties and it will be interesting to see how the current crop of top riders cope with a traditional circuit.

In warm sunshine, Event Manager, Di Thompson and the Series Paddock Co Ordinator, Chris Sprawson spent a few hours at the Farleigh Castle venue measuring the Paddock Area, Car Parks and Trade Area. Our photograph shows them both outside of the circuit discussing the Traffic Management plan after reporting the rest of the site to be ready to go.
The area known as the "International Paddock" will be for the non team trucks and will be in a prime area, next to the track, whilst the teams, (with their bigger units) will be situated just inside the main gate and adjacent to the "work area". After making the long train journey from Doncaster to Trowbridge (via Penzance but that is another story) Chris commented, " Having such a large flat area is good and of course we have to accommodate over forty Veteran riders at this event. The service road is a major asset and I am confident that everyone will be parked relatively close to the circuit, Waiting Zone and Work Area."
