The event, which is governed by the ACU, will take place in one of the most idealistic landscapes in the British Isles – the Nevis Range ski resort near Fort William – and is all set to be a celebration of trials and our nation’s home grown talent.
Britain is blessed with potential winners in each of the three categories: Youth, Junior and World Pro, including the most successful trials ride ever, Dougie Lampkin. With twelve World Championships to his name Lampkin will travel to Scotland in search of his 100th Grand Prix win.
While Lampkin’s achievements are unparalleled there are at least two young Brits who wish to emulate and succeed him. Junior class ace Jack Challoner scored a remarkable double win at the previous round in Japan and will want to do the same on home soil. And Youth class star Jack Sheppard, who recorded his first ever Grand Prix victory in Japan, shares a similar intent. Both will be hungry for a good result in the Highlands as they make their respective 2010 World title bids.
“The ACU, in collaboration with the SACU, is looking forward to welcoming the SPEA FIM Trial World Championship to Great Britain this summer,” said Roy Humphrey, **INSERT JOB TITLE HERE**. “The UK possesses some real talent in this discipline and I wish all our riders well. I have no doubt that the event will be a huge success.”
