Osborne and Bobreshev the fastest, but Anderson fighting to keep his crown. That is the story from a superb round three of the championship held yesterday at Duns in the Scottish Borders region.
As our previous reports have indicated, Zach Osborne on the Bike It Cosworth Yamaha was unstoppable, recording five first places which included winning Q1, the Q2 Superpole and all three motos - virtually unchallenged. His main title challenger, Jake Nicholls (HM Plant Red Bull KTM) was not able to match the American's pace and suffering a mechanical failure in the second of the now customary three motos, loses his championship lead and the red plate. With an opening moto second, backed up by two very strong third places, PAR Honda's Martin Barr is now third in the title standings, sharing 159 points with Nicholls. Latvian Matiss Karro (MVR-D Suzuki) put in his strongest ride of the year so far, to snatch third place overall on the day with 6-2-4 race results.
