The Track Racing Committee would like to clarify that NO extra roping will be required at events where Left Hand Sidecar are to run. There is no changes to the traditional roping system. The only changes to the ACU Requirements for Safety Precautions at All Speed Events Held Under a ACU Permit booklet is that the Alternative Roping method should not be used and a additional I metre run off on the straights.
It is appreciated that the introduction of this revision to the Safety Requirements may provide short term difficulties for some organisers, and the Track Racing Committee is more than happy to work with clubs to resolve these problems.
