Round four of the Mid Wales Motocross Championship will take place this Sunday at the Talsarn Motocross Park in Wales and it is still open for any riders who wish to enter.
The track has been completely graded including all four uphill and downhill sections and the track is up to National standard once again.
The stunning Welsh venue is a challenge to riders and has been compared to the famous Hawkstone Park GP track. It has steep inclines which are used by the adult competitors with something a little simpler for the youngsters.
The club was formed at the start of 2009 and affiliated to the ACU. So far it has run a number of successful events but it has been slightly down on the number of competitors taking part. The ACU is keen to assist the Mid Wales Club with its endeavours and hopes its support will see more riders take part in the Club’s events.
Located in central Wales the Club is determined to establish itself as a mainstay for motocross in Wales, providing the riders with good tracks to ride on, in as safe an environment as possible, and with good organisation.
The Mid Wales Club offers the following classes:
65cc Class
85cc Big Wheel Class
85cc Small Wheel Class
Open Youth
MX1
MX2
MX3 Open Adult Novice
Youth Quads
Adult Quads
Brian Higgins, the Motocross Committee Chairman commented: “Although I have never been to the Talsarn track, I understand it is an excellent circuit and I am aware of how the team of the Mid Wales Club ensure everyone who attends receives value for money, with plenty of riding time in a friendly environment. I am positive they will welcome new members and ensure they have a fantastic days riding”.
The latest you can pre enter is Friday 26th June as that will allow inclusion in the programme. Day entries are also available on the day. The entry fee on the day is £25 for Juniors and Adults £35.
ACU Day licences can be purchased for £10 on the day. Entry for spectators costs £3 per person and under 14s are free.
