McGuinness leads the way

Tuesday June 2, 2009 at 10:09am

Another dry practice session took place on the Isle of Man last night as the riders started increasing their speed and performance for the first timed practice of the week.

Low evening sun was problematic for the riders but otherwise it went off with no incidents. The solos went out a 19:00 with Ian Hutchinson and Michael Rutter leading the charge. Hutchinson’s lap didn’t lat long a he had a break down at Ballacraine and had to make his own way back. Rutter also had to pull in due to his gear lever braking.

McGuinness started to stretch his legs and on lap two he was on a flyer, landing at the top of the leader-board with an average speed of 128.067mph.

In the F2 Sidecars, Dave Molyneux/Dan Sayle were quickest at 114.697mph.
