Relentless Suzuki’ Cameron Donald put in a stunning 131.457mph lap last night during practice, he was over 8 seconds inside John McGuinness lap time for the current outright lap record which stands at 130.354mph.
This now makes Donald the fastest rider around the Mountain circuit and puts him at the head of the standings to win the Graham watch for the fastest practice lap. Bruce Anstey, team-mate to Donald was also on fast form lapping at 130.129mph.
Meanwhile in the 600 class Michael Dunlop was the man to beat with a time of 126.29mph.
There is one more practice session this evening before the racing starts in anger on Saturday 6th June, with the Dainese Superbike race at 12:00 running over six laps, and the Sure Sidecar race starting at 15:00 running over three laps.
