One of the biggest National club road races in the calandar takes place at Castle Combe on August 16/17th.The circuit normally used for car racing allows the bikes in very rarely and when they do a large crowd will be expected. Promoted by the new Era club the classes can be viewed at the New Era web site www.neweramcc.orgThe programme includes - Moto Star Motorcycle Raceday - Saturday August 16 2008 & Sunday August 17 2008 2 days of motorcycle racing for the ACU Star Champion....

Craig Jones has died as a result of head injuries sustained during Sunday World Supersport race at Brands Hatch. The 23-year-old lost control of his Parkalgar Honda through the fast Clark Curve towards the end of lap seven of the restarted race, whilst battling for his first WSS victory in his home event.Jones was sitting in a close second position at the time of his accident, sandwiched between Ten Kate Honda riders Jonathan Rea and Andrew Pitt.
