John Collins, Chairman of the ACU’s Trials & Enduro Committee is pleased to announce both the Men’s and Women’s Team for the Trials Des Nations event, due to be held at Breal sous Montfort, France on 30th September and 1st October 2006.
Last year saw both Teams ride superbly, leading both Men’s and Women’s competitions at the halfway stage, but unfortunately narrowly missing out on climbing the top step of the podium at the end of the second day, finishing as Runners up for the second year in succession.
For the 2006 Trials Des Nations the Men’s Team was always going to be a very difficult choice with many of our youngsters beginning to show their talents on the world stage and confidently compete against the more experienced established stars. This year sees 20 year old, James Dabill join Dougie Lampkin, Graham Jarvis and Shaun Morris in representing Great Britain, just reward for his excellent results in the World Championship.

Hopefully, all the riders will maintain their current fitness levels, but with the depth of talent currently being produced by this Country, there will be many names on the list ready to fill the places should illness or injury prevent any of the above taking part.
John Collins said, “Last year the Womens event proved to be one of the closest finishes in the competition and I’m sure all our riders will be determined not to miss that top step of the rostrum for the third consecutive year and repeat our last victory of 2003.
