Mr Colin Appleyard, Group Chairman, and Mr Robin Appleyard, Managing Director, and former Grand Prix rider, visited the Addinghan Moorside trial along with Off-Road Director Craig Holmes. "We have been very happy to be involved with the A.C.U. British Championship for the last three years. The publicity derived has been most welcome, and widespread, from Ireland, from Scotland, Wales, the South West and of course in Yorkshire where for the first time two clubs have staged championship qualifiers. We were responsible for the sponsorship of the World trial at Pateley Bridge in 1993 which brought Dunlop back into off road events" said Mr Holmes.

Former motorcycle sidecar racer Colin Appleyard has always adopted a policy of putting something back into the sport ranging from trials to enduro and motocross as well as road racing. "We sell most trials and motocross machines, and just about every possible road machine. The company stage meetings and social gatherings for road riders and corporate days for off-road interests " added Mr Holmes.

As in recent years Barry Robinson will act as Press Officer, on behalf of the Appleyard Group and the Trials and Enduro Committee of the Auto Cycle Union, Rugby. Each championship round will be preceded by a Press Release detailing organising Club, venue, entry list, and leading officials. After each event a full result and championship points table will be issued to national and regional media.
