East Coast Sunshine for ACU British Cross Country Round 1
Preparations are well underway for this coming weekends ACU British Cross Country Championship at Low North Camp, Harwood Dale, North Yorkshire.
Following a site visit on Monday, Clerk of the course Wayne Braybrook has reported that the venue is in near perfect condition due to the almost summer like weather the east coast has been recently blessed with. Top riders already confirmed are Jordon Rose, Scott Austin, Ashley Wood, Jack Rowland, Rob Johnson and Ady Smith, to name but a few.
The planned track of 8km will take in two brand new loops around the superb off road complex, giving all competitors a mix of woodland enduro, numerous tracks and trails, and the old British Quad MX track just to liven things up.
The day will be split into two events, 10am until 12 noon is the chance for ALL Sportsman, Ladies and British Over50 competitors in the two hour Support event. After a short break for lunch and course alterations, the main British Pro/Expert, Over40, and Clubman aces will be showing off their talents for a full two and a half hours around the ex army training camp.
Pro Expert riders will have their own paddock area next to the start, so the hobby riders in attendance can meet the top men and see the awesome machines they compete on.
Venue open from 10am Saturday for camping and track inspection. Massive hard standing paddock, two official spectator zones, and trade stands will compliment this National standard event.
