The Series will be run over five weekends, it will be a ten round Series starting in February and running through to July with classes for Elite, Expert, Under 23, Under 19, and Clubman riders.
Increased from three weekends of racing to five for ’11 the addition of three new to the series venues ensures that all competitors will have plenty to get stuck into throughout the 10-day championship. Starting and finishing in Wales the series will kick-off at Saints Well in mid February, with a 100 per cent new course to the closing event of the ’10 championship. Running almost exclusively on Forestry Commission land the true cross-country style course is set to provide a great start to the series.
The championship’s first new venue hosts rounds three and four where competitors will be treated to a fast and flowing course similar to the opening round of the ’10 series. Llangrove, situated between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, will provide a diverse array of natural terrain, as well as a fantastic hillside ‘scramble’ track with the event being run in association with the Mercian Dirt Riders. Heading south for rounds five and six the popular Rogers Hill Raceway in Dorset returns to the series, where the two motocross tracks and extensive man-made ‘extreme’ arena will again ensure a fantastic weekend’s racing.
Next up the championship heads towards Northampton where the Enduroland club will assist with the running of the penultimate weekend of racing at Adstone, Manor Farm. New to the series and offering a fantastic array of different obstacles and terrain, just like at Rogers Hill Raceway there’ll be plenty of man-made challenges, as well as fast and flowing grass tracks, to ensure close and exciting racing. Finally, the third new venue brings the series to a close on the first week in July. Berwyn Leisure Park set in the picturesque Welsh mountains will offer a great mix of traditional farmland terrain with a motocross track and man-made obstacles used to ensure a diverse and exciting course.
Establishing the exciting enduro sprint format during ‘10, for ’11 the BSEC series will feature a revised class structure, as with the minimum age of competitors now being lowered by the ACU to 15 an Under 19 class has been added. The Under 19 category ensures enduro newcomers have a class of their own in which to learn.
With the popular Elite, Expert and Under 23 classes remaining a Clubman class has been added on a full-time basis. Recognising the fact that not all Clubman riders are able to commit to two-day events, the option of racing on either a Saturday, or a Sunday, or both, at each championship weekend during ’11 will be available to all Clubman.

Jonty Edmunds – BSEC Events Director: ‘It’s taken us a little longer than originally planned to confirm the full line-up of venues for the ’11 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship but having not rushed into anything we’re confident that we now have a fantastic and diverse selection of venues, which will make for a great championship.
‘Above all else building on the successes of the ’10 series, and only making changes that will improve and strengthen the championship, is what we’ve been working on over the last few months. 2010 was all about establishing the sprint enduro format and putting in place the championship’s foundation. We learned a lot and now our aim is to build on what was a great first year.
‘The introduction of the Under 19 and Clubman classes are a natural progression for the championship, while expanding the series by two weekends is something many riders requested. In addition to the fact that the minimum age for competitors is now 15 the two new classes and three new venues are the most notable changes. Delivering quality events that riders, their families, friends and support crews, and importantly spectators, can enjoy is still what the series is all about.
‘The number of competitors will again be capped at approximately 100 at each event to ensure those that do compete get a maximum amount of track time. As far as the championship goes any rider will be able to put forward his best eight results, being able to drop any two individual scores. The championship again sits alongside the BEC, EWC and EEC with no date clashes.’
