Championship points will be awarded to competitors of any Nationality.
The title “British/ACU Cross Country Champion” will be awarded to the competitor with the most points who holds British Citizenship. If the rider with the most points is not a British Citizen he shall be awarded the title of “British /ACU Open Cross Country Champion”. This principle shall apply throughout the classes
• The allocation of all championship rounds is at the discretion of the Trials & Enduro Committee. In granting a Permit to organise a round the Committee does not abrogate its overall responsibility for the Championship Series and may in its absolute discretion, withhold points for all, or part of a round, introducing a replacement round at a later date if it sees fit .
• The Championship rounds will be run under the ACU Hare & Hounds/Cross Country (Adult) Standing Regulations, these Championship Regulations, the Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions that may be issued
• Classes
There will be four British Championship Classes with the following number
allocations:
Championship - nos 1 to 100
Expert - nos 101 to 200
Clubman Elite - nos 201 to 300
Expert Over 40 - nos 301 to 400
The Championship Classes above will run in the afternoon, and be of 2.5 hrs duration
Support classes will have the following number allocations -:
Sportsman, - nos 401 to 500
Over 50 and - nos 501 to 600
Clubman - nos 601 to 700
The above Support races will be run in the morning and be of 2 hrs
duration
• Numbers/number plates
Riders are responsible for fitting their correct numbers.
Colours for number plates are free choice , but numbers should be in strong contrast
to the plate colour- e.g. white on red.
• There will be no capacity divisions and machines may be two or four stroke
• Motor Cycles: Enduro/MX/ Trials/Trail machines are eligible
• Technical: Machines must comply with the Technical regulations for that type of machine as per the ACU Standing Regulations.
• Tyres: May be Enduro/MX/Trail or Trial
• Sound levels: The max sound level is 96 dBA
• All support crews must be equipped with serviceable Fire Extinguishers
• Championship points:
Calculation of Championship points for all the Championship classes
will be as follows:
1st -20 pts 5th- 11 pts 9th - 7pts 13th -3pts
2nd-17pts 6th – 10 pts 10th- 6 pts 14th -2pts
3rd -15 pts 7th - 9pts 11th - 5pts 15th -1pt
4th- 13 pts 8th – 8pts 12th- 4pts
• At the conclusion of the series, the points of each rider’s best results from all days held will be added together and the rider with the highest number of points to his credit will be the winner of that class
• Ties: If a tie occurs in the Final classifications, the best performance in the last round held will be the deciding factor in determining the Championship position.
