The penultimate round of the R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy will take place on 22nd August at Castle Combe in Wiltshire and Ross Connolly is determined to continue his winning spree.
Having won seven out of eight races Connolly is on a roll and has admitted that Castle Combe is one of his favourite circuits. Last time out at the Anglesey double header Connolly picked up pole position, and both race wins. He is now 38 points clear of Mark Cheetham in the title chase and that is a big gap to bridge.
Cheetham is the only man to beat Connolly this season and he will be doing his best to hold onto the fast Blackpool rider. Ross Richards, GSX-R Trophy regular, has been on form over the last couple of rounds and will also be out to beat the interlopers of Cheetham and Connolly.
For Cheetham to win the title at this late stage will mean Connolly having two disastrous rounds however with the level of consistency that Connolly has shown all season that is unlikely.
