Wigg and Richardson continue winning spree

Monday July 20, 2009 at 1:04pm
The third round of the European Trials Championship took place at Myslenice in Poland and it was a very successful round for British talent as Alexz Wigg and Jonathan Richardson walked away with a win each.

Wigg, who wrapped up the SPEA Junior World Trials Championship just two weeks ago, beat French rider Loris Gubian and Spanish rider Alfredo Gomez at the very well organised Polish event. The slippery sections provided a challenge to the riders and also gave the spectators some opportunity for spectacular competition.

Also just two weeks ago Richardson finished in third place in the 2009 World Youth Trials Championship and this was enough for him to pick up the title. This time round he beat fellow British rider, Jonathan Walker, into second place leaving Luca Cotone in third position.

The ACU Trials Committee would like to extend its congratulations to the British riders and hopes for their continued success.

The fourth round of the European Trials Championship will take place on the 26th July in Tanvald, Czech Republic.
