The final round of the Colin Appleyard A.C.U. 2005 British Trials Championship at Skyrakes Farm, Skipton, on Sunday promises to be a cliff-hanger event between reigning title holder Steve Colley and former championship Graham Jarvis. Just eleven points separate champion from past champion. Jarvis said on Sunday night that he was expecting a fight from the Isle of Man star but the pressure eased with the exit of Sam Connor with the same shoulder dislocation that had plagued the West Horsley rider for the last three years. Latest news from Sam is that he will quit trials and return to university next year. The chances of him being at Skyrakes on Sunday are just about non-existent. Also having problems, Shaun Morris, with an eye infection that hit him at the beginning of the World Series this season. The Bradford Motor Club staged Autowbars Trial, sponsored over and above the Colin Appleyard main support for the series. The Bradford based tow bar and carrier supply and fitting company have left no stone unturned to secure full sponsorship of all twelve sections. John Lampkin Imports, GRAPHICS, Trials Cast, and even the Craven Heifer, just down the road from the trials course, has taken a section, and will be available for accommodation and food for visitors. Colin Appleyard will have a display pitch with all their off-road machinery on display along with John Lampkin who will have the 2006 Beta range on view. The official timetable runs from Saturday. NO access to the venue will be permitted between 09.00 and 13.00 on Saturday due to other sporting events on the area. After that time camping vehicles will be allowed in until 18.30 then main gates will be locked by the landowner. On Sunday the signing on time will be 08.00 with practice from 08.45 to 10.45. The trial will start at 11.15. Chief official Stuart Cameron has marked one 'super section' that will test Jarvis and the top three challengers. " I don't think anyone will master this section at all, but, we will have to wait and see ". The Chief Official and Clerk of Course for the event is Mr Stuart Cameron. The Event Secretary is Mr Ron Eddings (01282 619499- do not publish) A full detailed Entry List will follow this relase and a Final Result sheet will issued after the trial by Barry Robinson, A.C.U.
