To comply with the new “Procedures & Safety Arrangements for events using Forestry Agreement land” document, there is a requirement for every Organiser to appoint a licenced Safety Officer.
To facilitate this the ACU propose to conduct Safety Officer Licence Seminars on a Regional basis, with an Instructor appointed by the ACU. The aim of this being to enable suitable candidates to acquire a licence without excessive cost and travel.
We invite offers from Clubs / Centres to host these seminars the duration of which we envisage to be about three hours.
There will be no cost for the instructor, however it will be necessary for a room and appropriate facilities to be provided.
Once applications have been received a list of Seminars outlining the venue, date and time will be promulgated.
It would be appreciated if on your application you could include information with regard the suggested venue, directions, post code etc.
