The South Midland Tough Ten Trial Sponsored by Putoline Oils

Tuesday June 2, 2015 at 1:49pm
The fifth running of this prestige trial, organised by the Berkhamsted, Hillingdon & Uxbridge and Kenton & Kingsbury clubs, will take place at its usual venue of Round Rocket Plantation, West Hyde Lane, Gerrards Cross, Bucks. SL9 0QP on the 19th July, 2015. Start time is 10-30.

The trial will follow the usual format of four laps of ten sections, with four routes, all on private ground by kind permission of the Haslam family. It’s a cracking trials venue used by Sam H. as his practice ground, with plenty of parking and Sizzlers burger van in attendance. Overnight camping is available on the Saturday, but you must have your own water supply and toilet facility. There will be male and female toilets on site on Sunday ready for the trial.

Classes will be Elite Expert, Expert, Intermediates, Novice/Clubmen, Elite Youth and Youth A. B and C. Prize money will be on offer to the Elite, Expert and Inters with suitable trophies for all other classes and a Putoline ‘goody bag’ to the first three in all classes. In addition John Lee & Sons are providing raffle prizes for which every rider will be given a free ticket. The main prize is usually a rear tyre which, by tradition now, is the LAST ticket to be drawn.

Clerk of Course Graham Haslam will set sections marked for the Elite riders such as Sam Haslam and Alexz Wigg ( who will be entered) and any other riders of similar ability to a National standard. Slightly easier sections to a Centre level standard for all other classes, so expect a tough but fair challenge to your skills! Come and enjoy a great day.

Entry details will be found in TMX, The Sporting Motorcyclist, on the berkotrials.com and hux.org websites or by contacting Secretary of the Meeting Karen Southwood on her email karen.gibbons7@btinternet.com or mobile 07702 038983 or 01582 477234. Entries on line are the preferred method with preferably no entries on the day so that we can prepare a list of riders for all to see.

The trial is run on the punch card system and scores will be posted as the trial progresses so that the results will be available shortly after the finish. I need ten observers and ten punch operators so if you fancy one of these jobs give me a ring on 07976 043027.
