ACU 2015 British Quad Championship

Thursday December 11, 2014 at 12:04pm
Following the success of this year’s ACU British Quad Championship Nora MX are delighted to announce the entry has now opened for 2015.

And, next year’s series promises to be even bigger and better with new tracks, events and countries coming on to the schedule.

In a major coup the opening round will be part of the programme of the Hawkstone International Moto Cross on February 8. This will give competitors the chance to race on one the world’s iconic tracks, in front of a massive crowd. No more than quad racing deserves!

The championship will then travel to Ireland and another former GP venue, Desertmartin, where the locals are guaranteed to give everyone a warm welcome off the track - and a tough time on it! The Championship then goes to Foxhill, Stratford, back to Dean Moor before the traditional climax alongside the British Sidecar Championship at Canada Heights in October. Nora MX hopes you will agree, that is an exciting calendar! (Full details www.nora-mx.org.uk )

In addition to the full ACU British Championship, the series will also incorporate a number of sub-championships to compete for.

Under 21 ACU British Champion

Nations Cup

The Connor Smith Rookie of the Year

Manufacturer of the Year

The Mark Watson Award for Racing Endeavour

Once again the championship will be staged over six rounds with each round comprising of three 20-minute, plus two lap, races. Points from all rounds will count, wild card & non registered riders will not receive championship points in 2015.

A prize money fund will once again be available and this will be published later and will depend on the level of support we can attract from series sponsors. Prize money will only be paid to riders who compete in every round of the series. The only exception will be for riders who are injured.

Once again the championship will be promoted by the NORA MX team – on behalf of the ACU – and just like last year you will need to be a member of the NORA club to ride the in the series. Your membership will, of course, make you eligible to compete in any of the NORA club’s meetings through the year.

Entry will close on January 25, or before if the line-up is full. We are looking for event & title championship class sponsors, please contact Chris Murphy 07860 668434 if you are able to help.
