Working Toward Gripping Final Rounds Of The British Supemoto Championship

Tuesday October 14, 2014 at 9:11am
With just two rounds remaining of the 2014 British Supermoto Championship it all looks like culminating in a spectacular final showdown at Cadwell Park early in November.

Next weekend, 18th - 19th October will see the championship revisit the spiritual home of supermoto, Three Sisters, Wigan where crowds will be entertained by Britain's best supermoto riders as they battle it out in wheel to wheel high speed action to gain the lead in the championship.

The season to date has provided some of the most spectacular and close racing seen for many years. Heading into the Wigan event DCR/Nameplate Services rider Matt Winstanley leads the 450 elite championship by 24 points from Skyzone Pope rider and reigning British Champion Chris Hodgson.

This weekend top elite riders, Matt Winstanley, Chris Hodgson and Lewis Cornish are battling to take Team GB to the top of the podium at the Supermoto of Nations in Cremona, Italy and are supported by a junior GB squad of rising stars including Davey Todd, Ashley Saunders and Kayla Barrington. So all riders will be putting their international experience to good use out on track at the Three Sisters round and will hopefully bring home the silverware to display for all to see.

All the action starts at 10:00 am both days.
