Team Great Britain Prepare To Take On The World At The Supermoto Of Nations
Teams from as far afield as Argentina & the USA are busy in preparation to head out to represent their countries at the annual Supermoto of Nations which this year is taking place in the beautiful Italian countryside at the Autodromo San Martino just outside Cremona on 11 and 12 October

Team GB will be fielding a two team delegation of adult and junior riders looking to challenge the strong field of competitors from across the world. Heading out alongside the riders  will be a contingent of pit crews and family who will all add much welcomed support from the sidelines to encourage our riders to show Great Britain has some of the best supermoto riders in the World.

Representing the adult team will be Matt Winstanley, Chris Hodgson and Lewis Cornish who all have significant European and international riding experience behind them. Each of these riders has competed in the Supermoto of Nations in the past so we can be assured all will be ready to take on the World as soon as the start flag drops. Selected on Championship position in the 450 Elite British Championship each rider has demonstrated outstanding speed, skill and tenacity to bring home the points, which is also something we can be assured of once these guys our out on track at Cremona.

Team GB will also be represented this year with a junior team consisting of the three highest placed riders under the age of 21 in the 450 Elites. Davey Todd, Ashley Saunders and 16 year old schoolgirl Kayla Barrington will proudly travel to Italy to take their places on the grid. Davey

Todd has previously represented his country at this event, however for Ashley and Kayla this will be a new and exciting challenge and an outstanding opportunity to be selected.

Team Great Britain Manager, David Dearden commented '' This year has posed a difficult task in team selection as so many riders are showing outstanding form in the British Championship however the final selection of both adult and junior teams will provide Great Britain with the best chance to bring home podium places. I am sure Matt, Chris and Lewis will show that we have world class riders in our ranks and out on track I am more than confident these riders will be continually challenging for the lead. For some of our  junior team this will be the first time they have competed at international level and the experience they will gain will be invaluable to help them develop and I hope each and everyone of those representing Team GB enjoys the experience.''

We are grateful for the support provided for the team and would like to thank:
