Sudbury MCC hosts the nail biting Eastern Centre Two Enduro Championship

Monday September 29, 2014 at 10:38am
It is neck and neck for the Clubman Class Title at this Sunday’s fifth and final round of the Dave Barkshire Motorcycles Two Man Enduro Contest between Ben Alexander/Tom Fazah and Robert Aldridge/Ed Pooley as both teams are on 72 points each with two wins, two seconds and two third places a piece.

The same situation happened last year with two teams were inseparable and the Title was settled at the last round. If Alexander/Fazah and Aldridge/Pooley fail to score points then Jake Gregory/Richard Squirrell have an outside chance to snatch the Title but they will need to win the round.

The Championship Class has already been won by last year’s winner Tom Braddock along with a new partner James Potter so it will be a battle for second and third. Currently Adam Ranson/Mark Chapman and Paul Belton/Phil Roper are on equal points for second place and if the Sudbury pairing of Belton/Roper who won the Expert Class last year can have a consistent ride they could be the runners up.

The Expert Class has also been won by the Sudbury pairing of Glenn Walsh/Ian Tutton and again it is a contest for second and third.  There are five teams vying for these two positions, the best place are Tom Sargent/Ross Taylor who won the Clubman Class last year with Carl Honeywood/Christian Drane and Martin & David Stevens in close pursuit however two Sudbury teams of Alex Walton/Andy Quorn and Gary & Dale Gladwin could take these places.

The event is being organised by the Sudbury Motor Cycle Club at Tye Farm Great Cornard near Sudbury Suffolk with the first four riders in the morning session starting at 10am.

The morning session is two hours with team members having to changeover every 30 minutes, ride as many laps as they can and not incur penalty points for lateness.

The afternoon session starts at 1pm again for two hours with the course ridden in the opposite direction and the first lap is timed for the special test to decide any ties in the scores.
