This weekend we have the European Sidecar Final being held in this country for only the third time. The 500cc Sidecar Club themselves are hosting it for a second time at their High Easter venue and I'm sure Shaun Harvey and the team will provide a superb event with a few surprises.
May be this could be the year for British success with Josh Goodwin, Nick Radley and Shaun Harvey himself going for success, and to add Right-hand Sidecars Champion Mark Cossar at reserve you have a pretty powerful line-up from these shores.
The one to beat will no doubt be Dutchman William Matthijssen who will be going for his fourth title. Matthijssen has only once been out of the top two once since 2007 and that was through injury. You also have other fellow Dutchmen Dennis Noordman, Mark Detz and Wilfried Detz, as well as Germans Markus Venus, Markus Brandhofer, Marco Hundsrucker, and Florian Kreuzmayr. The sole Frenchman in the starting line-up will be Christophe Grenier.
To add to this there is support racing from 500cc Sidecars, Right-hand Sidecars and 500cc Solos.
