Titles all to play for after round 4 of British Youth Nationals at Milton Malsor
The penultimate round of this years British Youth Nationals once again produced superb hard fought race action in all classes at Milton Moto Parc.

Gareth Hockey of RHL Activities explained, “Milton Parc was just great, the track was in the best condition we have ever seen it and the feedback from the riders, they all enjoyed their 2 days of racing. We now have a weekend off before we head to Scotland for the final round of the championship, from what we’ve have been told the Leuchars track is going to be just awesome.”

Tom Neal and Ollie Osmaston produced a great battle in the Open Youth championship races, both switching and changing wins throughout the weekend like they did at Brookthorpe, Tom squeezed out the win by 2 points. Keiran Banks, Rob Holyoake, John Joe Wright and Joe Tobutt finished off the top 6.

Tom Neal: “I’m building momentum since the last round at Brookthorpe, as I said before we have been hard with the bike and off the bike so everything is falling into place nicely.”

Rossi Beard travels to Scotland with a 12 point lead over Ben Clark after winning at Milton Parc.
The SW85 class produced 3 different race winners in 7 super tight races, Rossi, Kacey Hird and Ben Clark shared the wins with Adam Collings, Lewis Hall and Sam Nunn all chasing hard behind.

Rossi Beard: “The track was really good, I felt good all weekend and came away with the win. There were a few more jumps at Milton and found a good rhythm which took me to the overall win.”

Incredibly the BW85 class had 4 different race winners, the class is stacked with talent and proves once again we do have a bright motocross future in the UK. Brett Pocock, Chris Mills, Dexter Douglas and Keenan Hird all raced to wins over the 2 days. Following closely behind were Marcus Phelps and Dylan Woodcock – the final round in Scotland will be a cracker.

Keenan Hird: “I’m happy with that, I wasn’t expecting to come here and win again thats 2 times in a row now. It went really well for me. Its going to be close in Scotland thats for sure.”

Eddie Jay Wade cruised to another overall win at Milton Parc, taking 6 out of the 7 races. One of his biggest rivals Joe Rizzi took the checkers in moto 2 but unfortunately crashed out on Sunday and will miss the race in Scotland with a broken collarbone. Louie Kessell finished runner up followed by James Rowe in third. Robbie Scott, Bobby Bruce and Jack Lindsay finished out the top 6.

Eddie Jay Wade: “Milton Malsor is one of my favourite tracks it is hard pack like at home. I had some good battles with Joel Rizzi on Saturday, and Sunday until Joel crashed Sunday morning. I came away with 6 wins and a 2nd. Big well done to Louie Kessell in 2nd and James Rowe 3rd and Bobby Bruce making the podium.”

Jordan Eccles didn’t have it all his own way at Milton, Josh Coleman was on fire and produced two great wins of his own, and in moto 3 Oliver Benton added to his points tally with a much deserved race win. Jordan did enough though to continue his overall winning streak and travels to Scotland as the firm favourite.

Jordan Eccles: “This year is going really well, this week I had a little bit of bad luck with my suspension, we changed it all and by the last race is was so much better. I have a comfortable lead going into the final round in Scotland and come home with the championship.”

James Harrison making his first appearance of the year in the British U23 championship had a great battle with series leader Brad Todd, James did enough in the final moto to take the overall win and the paycheck. Nathan Dixon finished in third place level on points with Damon Strydom.

James Harrison: “It wasn’t to bad today, its cool to come do a race with less pressure than a Maxxis British championship round, I haven’t won a race for so long, it feels great.”
